After class, two weeks ago, I struck up a conversation with a fellow student while we were waiting for our ride. We talked about our respective classes and what we thought about them. She then asked me if my Social Media class was difficult. My first response was “No. Absolutely not!” I encouraged her to take it as I had learned so much about social media and it was interesting. But on this rainy day, as I tried to think of what to post today, I think I might’ve misled not only that woman but also myself.
The class, itself, is very enjoyable, there is not a lot of required reading and my classmates and instructor are very friendly. I got the “social” part of the class down! The hard part comes with the “media” portion and trying to think of tweets and interesting topics to write about on a regular basis. Some days it feels like I have a circus of thoughts running through my mind but when I have to sit down and formalize these thoughts, I begin to question the appropriateness and the interest level of my topics. This uncertainty will stymie my creative process. Avoidance is never a good solution — it only delays the inevitable.
So, here I sit, sharing this thought with you and suddenly, I realize, I have made another post! 🙂
